« MYRIHANDES » is a project for a fantastic saga based on a soulmate legend.

This particular saga takes place within an imaginary universe inspired by an idealistic ancient Greece setting, populated with unknown creatures and races. Imagine a world where the awe-inspiring mixes with lyricism and where elaborated characters express themselves in formal speech. Joseph Campbell's theories on archetypes and storyline composition (which inspired filmmakers such as Spielberg or Lucas) allowed me to both control the writing and offer a wide range of human nature, which I truly wanted to develop throughout the tale via my characters' fate.

I would say, “Myrihandes' is placed halfway between Homer's Odyssey, Dark Crystal and The Lord of the Rings.

The topic of soulmates is one that has been raising my interest for quite some time and which addresses each and every one of us. However its development has never been the basis for a fantastic tale and has just been confined to research and mystical literature. When I realized there were many terms to name soulmates but none to assign the ‘reconciled mate', I came up with this appellation: “Myrihandes” based upon my researches on Greco Latino etymologies at the National Paris Library (Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris).

I wanted to take a fresh look at this particular topic (their origins, decline and rebirth…) by adapting it to the epic world of Heroic Fantasy while being inspired by the famous Plato myth and by Aristophanes'' Speech. (* Aristophanes was an Old Comic dramatist). I therefore wanted to combine the emphatic power of the legend with the profound spirituality of the philosophers thereby offering several levels of reading to better the access to all types of readers.

« MYRIHANDES » has ambitions of being turned into a cinema movie. However the project itself, by its topic and its approach, could very well be adapted to different media such as - but not limited to - TV series, novels, video games, cartoons, comics…

May I point out I already mapped out the complete bible of the screenplay, registered at the SACD ( http://www.sacd.fr/ ) and at copyrightdepot.com. It shines light on all civilizations, races, places and main characters present in the story.
